About
Sébastien Decaix is a bespoke shoemaker (bottier) in Paris. He trained as a shoemaker with the Compagnons du Devoir and was named Meilleur Apprenti de France in 2018, then worked for Philippe Atienza, Corthay and John Lobb (Hermès), where he made lasts, lasted and finished shoes, before opening his own workshop in 2025. At the 2026 World Championship in shoemaking he placed fourth worldwide and first among European makers. Each pair is made entirely by hand on a last shaped for the client, with a trial pair to check the fit and design before the final shoes are made. Get in touch by email.
