About
Campbell's of Beauly is a Highland country tailor and outfitter on the square in Beauly, west of Inverness. It was founded in 1858 by Mr and Mrs R.W. Hepburn as the Highland Tweed House; James Campbell, who married their daughter, took it over as Campbell & Co., and four generations of the family ran it before John and Nicola Sugden took over. The Prince of Wales ordered a plus-four suit in Sutherland homespun check here in 1924, and the house now holds a Royal Warrant to HM The King. Its in-house cutters and tailors make bespoke tweed tailoring, Highland dress and kilts, often in the house's own estate tweeds: each bespoke garment is cut, sewn and finished by hand in the Beauly workrooms, with a fitting before it is finished. Tailoring is by appointment only, booked in advance; the shop is open Monday to Saturday, 10am–5pm.
