Atelier Arena

Atelier Arena is the house of Tom Arena, who joined Huntsman at nineteen to train under Brian Hall, then spent roughly two decades as head cutter at Paul Smith before opening his own atelier in St James's in 2021. Everything is cut and made in-house by hand, using the nineteenth-century Thornton cutting system from his Huntsman training. The structured work runs to long clean lines, high armholes and roped sleeveheads, with softer Italian-leaning cuts alongside — and the house works as readily in leather, suede, shearling and vintage cloth as in worsted. A recurring residency at New York's Hotel Chelsea brings the atelier stateside roughly every season.
