About
GOLI makes made-to-measure and bespoke shoes by hand in a workshop at Via Metastasio 14/15 in the centre of Rome. Founder Golnaz Ebrahimi, known as Goli, trained as an architect before learning the craft alongside the Roman shoemakers Marini and Politano and makers in the UK; her work pairs traditional hand-welted construction with contemporary design. Master shoemaker Robert Elek, with 35 years in bespoke footwear at James Taylor & Son, John Lobb and Gaziano & Girling, works with her. Oxfords, loafers, derbies, monks, ankle boots and wholecuts, plus shoemaking courses.
