About
Forest shoemaker is a husband-and-wife workshop at the foot of the Northern Alps in Matsukawa, Nagano, making leather shoes by hand, each step passed from one to the other, in a house that has stood for over a hundred years with a small showroom beside the atelier. Fittings are by reservation (Instagram DM or email); they repair their own shoes and exhibit in Tokyo and around Japan.
